SALT

stands for Student Action Leadership Teams. We place a high value on developing leaders in our student ministry at The Mount. The purpose of putting SALT Teams together is to give students a chance to serve and develop as a leader. In essence, SALT will be our student leadership ministry. We believe that our student ministry will have the most influence for Jesus in our community when we have students ministering to students. A central part of student ministry is based on relationships and teamwork. We want to turn spectators into participants. So student involvement is crucial in our student ministry.
Our name SALT comes from Matthew 5:13-16 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be resolved? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Our Mission Statement
